Métro from the Kaleidoscope series

I've been slightly obsessed with the dark public spaces of subways for a few years now. The Parisian métro stations particularly intrigue me in their contrasts. They are at once beautifully designed with specific color palettes, but at the same time dark and make me slightly uneasy. The metro stop is everchanging. People meld together, coming in and out of view. The walls often change with the people. But the spatial structure is finite and enclosed. One has a choice to go one way or another into the vast empty darkness ahead.
